What is an Endowed Membership?
An Endowed Membership allows a member of the Valley of Michigan to make either a one-time payment or a payment split over a 12-month period in return for never having to pay annual dues again.
Why was this program developed?
With increasing cost and reduced membership in the Valley of Michigan, it was decided to implement a Membership Program that would be both beneficial to the Valley and to its members.
How does the Program work?
You may join this program at any time. The Valley asks its members to become an Endowed Member for $975. After the Valley has invested this contribution, the interest will be used to pay member fees. The member will not have to pay annual dues to the Valley again after completing the program.
What’s in it for me?
You can be assured that you will no longer have to worry about dues increase or payments ever again. If you purchase an Endowment Fund Membership at today’s current rates, you’ll recoup your investment in just over six years. Furthermore, you can be assured that your contribution will be used to support the future of the 32° Masons of the Valley of Michigan, including the many activities it sponsors for its members as well as the vast amount of charitable work throughout our community.
If you are a candidate, the $975 includes your Initiation Fee of $175 (you must join the fund in the year you are initiated).
How does the Valley benefit?
The Valley obtains permanent funding because of your endowment and benefits from the decreased administrative cost of collecting dues.
Where do I start?
The process is simple. Contact the office (313-724-1907), let us know you are interested in becoming an Endowed Member in the Endowment Fund. You can pay the $975 by cash, check, or debit/credit card. If you choose to do the payment plan, you will need to sign the EFT Authorization Form and send it to the office with a copy of a blank voided check from your checking account. The payment plan automatically withdraws from your account each month for twelve months, the amount to be paid ($975 divided by 12 equals $81.25). The withdrawals are set on the 15th of the month.
